(trigger warning i guess?) whenever anyone accuses Francis of touching Mathieu as a young colony he becomes outraged; he would never force Mathieu to do something he wasn’t comfortable with. it never fails to make him feel better when Mathieu stands up and vehemently defends him

Francis never touched Matthew with malicious intentions. He loves Matthew, but, isn’t the same that he feel for others. It’s a pure love.
Matt rejected Francis the first time he asked him out. Then, he saw how upset that made Francis, and agreed to go out with him. And now they’re together.
They both sleep with their cellphones by their pillow and never turn them off. Canada has gone to many a meeting late because he spent the night sending saucy and sweet texts.
When France and Canada first started dating, America and England were very against it. But over time, they accepted it, after they saw how happy the couple was. But they still watch France very carefully
Matthew is secretly a duvet stealing fiend and takes all the duvet whenever they share a bed. Francis solves this problem by being a very clingy sleeper.
France and Canada love traveling together when they are headed to the same place. They usually meet up, and leave from there.

France isn’t too into hockey. He is mostly amused by Canada’s love of it, and withstands games and heated discussions because he loves Canada and that’s what you do with people you love….
However if he gets ignored too much during game season, he’ll sulk, pout, and finally seduce his way back into having Canada’s full attention again.
France and Canada always speak to French to one another.
When France was given the opportunity to take Canada back as a colony, Francis desperately wanted to. When his boss said no, both he and Matthew were devastated. Matthew thought Francis no longer cared for him, and didn’t talk to him for the longest time afterward. He eventually came around, though, and Francis spends every waking moment trying to make it up to him in any way he can.
Matthew thinks it’s unnecessary, because he’s already forgiven him, but he finds it sweet, nevertheless.
